The secret of Caramandes®,original creation by Anne Benoit

When Anne Benoit was asked by a friend in the restaurant trade to develop a fine, tasty product with the special feature of sitting on a cup, she had no idea that she was about to give life to her most famous creation: the Caramandes®.

A thin triangular sheet of flaked almonds caramelised in salted butter and covered in chocolate, the Caramandes® is the ideal gourmet treat to accompany both coffee and champagne. This unique chocolate, both crunchy and melting, is now the signature of Benoit Chocolats.

A FAMILY HISTORY
that our chocolate makers bring to life

The first Benoit Chocolats shop opened almost 50 years ago in the heart of Angers. The chocolates and confectionery were made on the premises by Gilbert Benoit, on the first floor of the shop-workshop. Success came quickly. Anne joined the venture in 1997 as head chocolatier, before Véronique opened a Parisian store in 2009. Production was moved to a dedicated laboratory in Les Ponts de Cé.

The story continues beyond our borders, with Caramandes® reaching as far as Japan. Today, the company's chocolatiers, trained by Anne Benoit, are carrying on this family tradition and craftsmanship.

EXCEPTIONAL
creations

CAREFULLY SELECTED
raw materials

Our products are made from high-quality raw materials, selected with great care. In particular, we make our pralines from hazelnuts purchased from a producer in Piedmont, which are then ground by our craftsmen and added to the preparation. The chocolates, meanwhile, are made from the finest cocoa vintages, from reputed countries such as Ecuador, Brazil and Venezuela.

AUTHENTIC TASTES

Benoit chocolates come in a range of over 70 flavours, from the mildest to the most intense. The house credo? Balance and authenticity of taste. Here, the passion for chocolate is expressed with finesse through the constantly enriched historic range and original creations. Enough to delight the palate of connoisseurs and gourmets alike!
